matter which DJ you choose, you will need to provide them with the
following details:
1.
The names of everyone in the bridal party spelled phonetically in
the order they will make their grand entrance at the reception
(include parents first if they are to be introduced)
2.
The important songs for your important events (i.e. grand
entrance, garter toss, bouquet toss, cake cutting, first dance,
mother-son dance, father-daughter dance, bridal party dance,
anniversary dance, first open dance, dollar dance, last dance, and
so on)
3.
An outline of the important events (i.e. bridal party’s grand
entrance 6PM, toasts/blessing/meal 6:15PM, cut cake 7PM, etc.)
4.
The address of the reception and the approximate time at which
guests will arrive (DJ should be set up long before guests arrive)
5.
Important announcements to be made throughout the evening
6.
Songs to avoid
7.
Special accommodations that need to be made (i.e. acoustic
ensemble needs run through the sound system, wedding and reception
are held in the same location - perhaps outdoors - and the
preacher has special sound requirements, etc.)
8.
A list of songs you'd like to hear throughout the evening
9.
The closing time of your event facility (often a reception hall is
rented for a specific number of hours) |
